We bought two. One lives in the KROSER carry-on and one is on the dog's collar. The suitcase one earned its money the first trip when a gate agent checked our bag and I could watch it move through the airport on my phone. It was on the carousel before we were.
The dog one is for the backyard escape artist. It is not GPS, it needs an iPhone nearby to report, but in a neighborhood that is every 30 seconds.
Setup is holding it next to the phone. The battery is a normal CR2032 that lasts about a year, and the phone tells you when it is low.
You need a case or holder, it has no hole. Buy the tag and a five dollar keychain holder together.
This is the one we’d buy again.
