Flat, 0.4-inch bunkie board that sits between a slatted bed frame and the mattress to stop sagging between slats. Fabric covered, non-slip bottom, and thin enough not to raise the bed height. Rolls up for shipping and fits a queen frame.

Our bed frame has slats about four inches apart, and after two years the memory foam mattress had visible dips between them. The mattress company wanted a continuous surface for the warranty. A sheet of plywood was the cheap option, but it squeaks and it looks like a sheet of plywood.
This is a rigid board wrapped in fabric, less than half an inch thick. It came rolled, flattened out in a day, and went between the slats and the mattress. The dips were gone the first night and the bed did not get any taller.
No squeaks, no shifting. Nobody would know it is there.
The only reason to skip it is if your frame already has a solid platform. If you have slats and a foam mattress, this is the fix.
