We have the UVFAST mini waffle maker too, and it is great for the kids' small plates. This is the one for real Belgian waffles, the thick ones with deep pockets that hold butter and syrup.
Ceramic plates instead of Teflon was the reason I chose it. Nothing sticks, even with a little cheese in the batter. A wipe with a paper towel while it is still warm is the whole cleanup.
The browning dial works. Setting two gives soft and golden, setting three gets crisp edges. It takes about four minutes per waffle, so a family of four is a 15 minute job. It stores standing up, which is why it stayed and the old one did not.
One waffle at a time is the only real limit. If you host brunch for eight, you want a double.
This is the one we’d buy again.
