We have the Cumrige self-cleaning box on the site, and it is great for one of our cats. The other one refused it, so this 25 dollar top-entry box is her box.

The top entry does two things. Litter tracking dropped to almost nothing because the grooved lid brushes her paws as she climbs out. And the dog cannot get in, which anyone with a dog and a cat will understand.

Scooping is lifting the lid off, 20 seconds a day. The scoop hooks on the side so it is never lost.

It is tall, so an old or arthritic cat may not want to jump in. For a healthy adult cat it has been the cleanest corner of the house.

This is the one we’d buy again.
