We redid the bathroom textiles in one weekend: waffle shower curtain, waffle hand towels, and this mat. The whole thing looks like a hotel and cost less than one fancy towel.
The waffle weave dries fast, which is the point. Stepping out of the shower onto a wet mat is the thing everyone hates, and this is dry again in an hour. The backing grips tile well.
Honest notes: the listing says hand wash. I machine washed it cold, gentle, and hung it to dry and it is fine, but the backing might not survive a hot dryer. It is thin compared to a plush mat, more of a towel than a rug.
We bought a second one for the kids' bathroom.
